This Is our final magazine cover design. we used inspiration from exising movie magazines such as Empire Magazine which as been publishing regular movie magazines since July 1989. to ensure that we didnt breach any copyright contracts, we decided to create our own magazine title called Trinity,we chose this title as we wanted to be original and create a "one-word" title much like that of the successful Empire magazine. Also the meaning of the word Trinity coming from the 'Christian doctrine of the Trinity defines God as three divine persons.' this shows the other side of the spiritual entity we will use in our trailer. We used an image of our victim as our main image which was edited in Photoshop, like that of our Movie poster. we slightly blured the image to give a slight distorted/entity effect.
we also used our film title as the main article and te teme of the magazine issue. this was shown through the predominant title trough he middle of the cover EXIT SURVIVAL. this is done in many existing Empire magazine covers and we thought we should pay homage to this. we added actors names and extra promotional information around the cover, including:
- 30 page special issue
-2 bonus covers from existing movie stars
- world exclusive issue of EXIT SURVIVAL
- extra stories fom the cast of Dead Air and Incurable. the movies we created at our A2 studies. we decided to use these as a way of cross-promotion and to give a more creative slant to the cover, as opposed to advertising existing movie names.
- 100 countown of the top horror movies
as well as this we added he issue date, price and barcode for the magazine cover. we didnt ad too much to he cover, as we didnt want to 'over-edit' othe cover and draw attention away fom the main article and theme which is the release of our movie trailer. (jordan)
